The Coven |

 n light of the events of the last Age, a few members of the Coven revealed themselves to the guilds of magic. Kaubris, a master of Conjuration (and famous for spells that he has developed in his own research), became the unofficial Coven liason to the magical leadership of Thera. Faruq, his apprentice, was revealed briefly before being captured and possibly destroyed. The masked Xaelobran, a master of Alchemy, has appeared as a mysterious companion to Kaubris although their heirarchical relationship is unknown. No other members of the Coven have been openly identified and little is known regarding the size of the Coven's membership.

erhaps one of the few organizations of Thera that rival the now-defunct cabal of Shadow, the Coven is a society shrouded in secrecy and misinformation. Wizards of a forgotten age, the scholars, sages, teachers, and philosophers of the Coven will openly acknowledge their purpose to be the "preservation of magickal knowledge"; yet rumors persist that their mission is something more sinister. Although there is little agreement regarding the true purpose of the Coven, it is certain that membership includes the most powerful practitioners of each of the magical arts. During the last Age, a rogue apprentice to the Coven masters fled their ancient halls and set himself up as a great and wicked teacher of the conjuring arts. A glimpse of the power of the Coven leadership was witnessed as the apprentice was apprehended and destroyed.
